This play is exactly what is says on the tin, it’s a fun packed frolic, a story of country folk living in the village of Bodenham, (a village not far from Hereford)
As the annual May fair approaches the villagers are in high spirits as to what pranks and games might be played upon their neighbours. Poor Simon Skinner and his wife are the target of the frivolities all played out in harmless fun from the pen of Jessica Fraser.
The play won best one act play when it was first published in 1965 and has stood the test of time as great plays often do, and we at Centre Stage are proud to perform it ‘in the round’ as part of the Balsall Common September festivities.
